The University of Hartford men's basketball program will hold their annual team camp on June 4th and 5th. Last year's event drew 20 teams from four different states and this year's event is expected to be even bigger. All participating teams are guaranteed four games in addition to instruction from the Hawks coaching staff and a t-shirt for each player. Vermont Academy post-graduate Ryan Romich made a verbal commitment to Le Moyne College earlier this week. Located in Syracuse, New York the division II school plays a busy local schedule by competing in the Northeast 10 Conference. Max Preps announced their 2010-2011 Freshmen All-American Team earlier this week, and Levy Gillespie Jr. was the sole New England representative to make the cut. Gillespie was one of ten players named honorable mention to follow five players on the first, second, and third teams respectively. University of Hartford head coach John Gallagher recently added two more prospects to his 2011 recruiting class with the additions of Nate Sikma and Corban Wroe. Sikma, the son of NBA legend Jack Sikma, will be coming to Hartford from Bellevue High School just outside of Seattle.
