The NHIAA has their first scholarship level basketball player in the class of 2012 as Trinity High School's Silvere Aluko has committed to Pfeiffeer University, a division II program in North Carolina, as was first reported by New Hampshire Notebook's Jeremy Leveille. While Aluko has improved a great deal in recent years, he is still an undeniably raw project by college basketball standards. Bridgton Academy post-graduate forward Markus Crider signed a National Letter of Intent with George State on Monday, before announcing the news via his twitter account. “I'm officially a Georgia State University Panther. The Connecticut AAU state championships were decided this weekend in the u17, u16, and u15 divisions. Connecticut Basketball Club – Donnelly took the gold medal in the junior division, finishing with a 5-0 record on the weekend. Kurt Steidl led the way offensively for the team. Rhode Island head coach Danny Hurley continues to strike the transfer market in order to rebuild Rhody's talent base. The most recent prospect to commit to Hurley is DeShon Minnis, a six-foot-three lead guard who spent his freshman season at Texas Tech. The commitment was first reportted by SNY's Adam Zagoria.
