Kinard Dozier came to the Winchendon School to chase his dream of playing division I basketball, and after a year of hard work he is close to reaching his goal. Kinard Dozier has been a man on a mission for some time now. “I came to Winchendon because I was very hungry and wanted a division I scholarship,” said Dozier. “I played four years at Denham High School, which is a very small division III school in Massachusetts, and so…

It was never Andrew Hanson’s game that made college coaches wonder. Simply put it was whether or not he would meet the academic requirements to get through the NCAA’s clearinghouse. In fact earlier this year Robert Morris was set to offer the 5’10 point guard a scholarship only to hold up when it appeared unlikely that he wouldn’t be able to make the grade with his studies. Well as it turns out, after a year of incredibly hard work and…

There aren’t a whole lot of 6’9 lefties floating around in low major conferences who can post up, shoot the three, or beat their man off the dribble. Well there is about to be one more as Mehmet Sahan has committed to Sacred Heart University of the Northeast Conference. This season the skilled big man received a significant amount of interest from programs in high and mid major conferences including the likes of Providence, West Virginia, and Richmond to name…

In August when Pat Bergmann shined at the New England Elite 75 Showcase he was a player flying under the radar. HAMPTON, Va. - BABC is used to winning games. That's not just a historical note, although that is the case over its entire existence. But this current group has done plenty of winning in the last year, and that continued this weekend at the Boo Williams Invitational in Virginia. Although they were short-handed and essentially played five players (and pressed for a good deal of the game), BABC held off the New Jersey-based Playaz Basketball Club in the 16-under final…
