Khem Birch and Ricardo Ledo both earned rave reviews from their performance at last weekend’s Nike Baltimore Elite Invitational. In fact, both players were selected to the tournament’s all-tournament team as selected by the staff at I95BAllerz.com. Michael Gilchrist, the consensus top player in the national class of 2011, was the tournament MVP while Ledo was named to the All-Tournament First team and Birch the All-Tournament Second team. New Hampton post-graduate forward Kyle Cain recently received a release from the National Letter of Intent he signed with Rhode Island in November. Jake Barnett, a post-graduate at Notre Dame Prep from 2008-2009, will transfer to St. Louis next year according to his father. Barnett committed to Toledo during his post-graduate year and was the Rocket's captain and leading scorer this season as a freshman. Billy Lovett's Connecticut Elite u16 team traveled to Maryland last weekend to play in Baltimore Nike Elite's tournament at the prestigious DeMatha High School.
