Bridgton Swingman Accepts D2 Offer

Paul Dick, a six-foot-four post-graduate swingman from Bridgton Academy, recently made a verbal commitment to Franklin Pierce University and is expected to sign his National Letter of Intent this week.

Dick arrived at Bridgton Academy this fall from his home country of Ireland where he had previously led his Malchy team to the finals of Ireland’s u19 School League.

Upon arriving at Bridgton, Dick quickly worked his way into the Wolverine starting line-up and established himself as one of the team’s premier shooters from behind the three-point line.

Understandably, it took Dick some time to get adjusted to the speed and physicality of the American game, but he improved at a rapid rate throughout the course of the season and projects to be an impact player in the Northeast 10 Conference.

In addition to his ability to shoot the ball from the perimeter, Dick also has good size and a strong body for the swing positions to go along with a good overall feel for the game.

Marianapolis forward Matt Barboza is also expected to sign his letter of intent this week.
