Just two years after the New England Prep School Athletic Council went through a momentous realignment, there are more changes coming to the nation’s premier post-graduate basketball league. Rhode Island head coach Danny Hurley continues to strike the transfer market in order to rebuild Rhody's talent base. The most recent prospect to commit to Hurley is DeShon Minnis, a six-foot-three lead guard who spent his freshman season at Texas Tech. The commitment was first reportted by SNY's Adam Zagoria. Wednesday marked Connecticut's second verbal commitment of the last week as Leon Tolsdorf committed to head coach Jim Calhoun after visiting the campus on Tuesday. The entire New England community is mourning the passing of Don Gowan, the boys basketball coach and Associate Director of Admission at the Canterbury School. He passed away Sunday evening and was discovered by faculty on Monday morning after he failed to report to work in the Admission Office.
