Brewster Academy took the 2014 National Prep Championship by defeating St. Thomas More School on Wednesday night at Albertus Magnus College by a score of 88-78. The Bobcats advanced to the finals with a 84-61 semifinal win over Northfield Mount Hermon earlier in the day while the Chancellors outlasted IMG Academy 93-86 in the other semifinal. Less than 48 hours after Brewster Academy captured their second consecutive NEPSAC AAA title, the question heading into the National Prep Championship is whether or not they can run the table and culminate their season with the national championship. The NEPSAC finals at Endicott College have historically been among the single most exciting days of New England basketball each year. It was almost exactly one year ago that Jalen Adams broke St. Andrew's heart, draining a 30 foot buzzer beater to steal the NEPSAC AA championship for Cushing Academy.
