Mike Martin picked up his first commitment as the head coach at Brown University on Thursday morning when Tavon Blackmon, a six-foot point guard from Gonzaga High School in Washington D.C., committed to the Bears.   Blackmon, who ran with D.C. Assault on the travel circuit, chose Brown over scholarship offers from Loyola MD and St. Francis along with other wide-ranging division I interest and recruitment. St. Mike’s Earns Commitment

Saint Michael's College picked up a verbal commitment earlier this week from Matthew Bonds, a six-foot-five 200 pound forward from North Point High School in Waldorf, Maryland.  Over the past two high school seasons, Bonds has been a critical component for a North Point team that has achieved a 50-3 record including a Maryland 4A state championship.   Bonds, who is known as a face-up big man and excellent rebounder, played with Team Takeover on the grassroots circuit. This was a huge weekend for the University of Rhode Island as they picked up a pair of major commitments.  The first came from six-foot-four guard E.C. Kyle Washington's recruitment has come to a close following Sunday morning's commitment to North Carolina State while on campus for his official visit.  Washington was originally scheduled to visit Baylor last weekend, but ultimately cancelled after they landed a commitment from another forward in the days prior to his trip.  He had upcoming visits scheduled with Washington, Ohio State, and Iowa State.  His commitment comes just one week after N.C.
