Washington Picks N.C. State

Kyle Washington's recruitment has come to a close following Sunday morning's commitment to North Carolina State while on campus for his official visit.
Washington was originally scheduled to visit Baylor last weekend, but ultimately cancelled after they landed a commitment from another forward in the days prior to his trip. He had upcoming visits scheduled with Washington, Ohio State, and Iowa State.
His commitment comes just one week after N.C. State head coach Mark Gottfried scored a huge pledge from Anthony Barber, one of the top point guard prospects in the national class of 2013.
Washington is now in his second season in New England after starring for the Hotchkiss School last season. The Minnesota native announced his transfer to Brewster Academy this summer.
The six-foot-nine southpaw is a highly athletic big man with a developing offensive skill set and a strong motor. He projects capable of seeing immediate time at N.C. State and of providing strong long term value along the Wolfpack's frontline.
Washington is the second Brewster Academy product to commit to N.C. State in the last two years, joining former ESPN 100 forward T.J. Warren who helped lead the Bobcats to the 2012 National Prep Championship.
