NCAA Recruiting Period Opens

NCAA Recruiting Period Opens

Posted Sunday, September 10th, 2017

The NCAA's fall recruiting period opened this weekend, which means the beginning of open gym season in New England and throughout the rest of the country. The fall recruiting period is very different from the recent July live period because division I college coaches are only allowed to watch recruitable student athletes compete at the school they currently attend and only against other recruitable student athletes from that school. In layman's terms, that means D1 coaches can't attend any type… READ MORE >

With updated rankings now complete in both the classes of 2018 and 2019, we now shift our focus to the classes of 2020 and 2021. Updated rankings won't debut in those classes right away though as all spots are still up for grabs heading into next Saturday's Elite 75 Frosh/Soph. What exactly is on the line? Well, up until this point we've only thus far released a top 25 list in the class of 2020. As sophomores, we're now ready… READ MORE >

New England 2019 Rankings Announced

Posted Friday, September 8th, 2017

For the last week we've been rolling out updated 2019 rankings one state at a time, and now it's time to consolidate them all together in New England's junior class. Rankings are always debatable and the younger you guy the less certainty there is. There are, however, some clear trends that have arisen with this class. Four in contention for the top spot - There are four prospects that currently have a legitimate argument for the number one ranking. That… READ MORE >

Massoud Leads Mass 2019

Massoud Leads Mass 2019

If Connecticut's junior class is deep, Massachusetts' is deeper. In fact, we ranked 20 players in the Bay State's 2019 class and even at that there were plenty of others who deserved consideration. What is currently unanimous among the NERR staff is that MacDuffie School and PSA Cardinals product Ismael Massoud is the top ranked player in the state. With tremendous perimeter size, good length, and one of the most polished skill sets in New England, this guy has real… READ MORE >

Akok & Delaire Shine in CT 2019 Class

Posted Wednesday, September 6th, 2017

Up until this point, updated state rankings have included just five prospects in each state as we started north in Maine and gradually worked our way south through New Hampshire, Vermont, and Rhode Island. The junior class has considerably more depth in Connecticut and Massachusetts though, not to mention plenty of potential star power. As a reminder, post-summer 2019 rankings do not include incoming prep products (i.e. players that weren't in New England last year) and are based on assessing… READ MORE >

His decision comes just days after wrapping up what turned out to be his first and only official visit to Creighton's campus, He had previously trimmed his list to just four schools - with Ohio State, Minnesota, and Washington being among the other finalists - after having earned a variety of other high-major offers this spring and summer. #committed pic.twitter.com/xUDH6BIjBG — marcus… READ MORE >

Farris Sits Atop Vermont’s 2019 Class

Posted Saturday, September 2nd, 2017

When we published our Vermont rankings in the class of 2018 last week, the major theme of the class was that we wanted to see more. We wanted to see more of the state's talent emerge, both locally and beyond, as it has become increasingly difficult to identify the same amount of college prospects within the state's borders. That isn't to say they don't exist. In fact, we are willing to bet that they do, but they have simply yet… READ MORE >
