Some Unsigned 2025’s in the Prep Ranks

With the prep basketball season in full swing, it’s time to take a look at a handful of some of the most talented, unsigned 2025 players across New England, including both seniors and postgraduates.

Greg Brooks III 5’11 Guard, Northfield Mount Hermon: Brooks is a shifty guard who can shoot from long-range and farther. His speed paired with his ball handling abilities make him hard to cover in space, and he is comfortable knocking down stepback and off the dribble jumpers. On the defensive end, he uses his quick feet and hands to crowd the ball.

Daye Kaba 6’5 Guard, Vermont: Kaba’s length and size make him a nuisance for opposing guards on offense. He is able to use his quick hands to generate a ton of deflections and get out in transition. Kaba is comfortable knocking down catch and shoot jumpers and attacking closeouts to get to the basket.

Ajay Lopes 6’0 Guard, Bridgton: Lopes is a speedy guard who is able to use his change of pace to get to the middle of the floor with ease. Even as a smaller guard Lopes is great at absorbing contact and finishing, and has a soft touch on floaters in the lane. He  excels at reading help defenders and firing quick passes to the perimeter. Throughout his career at Wareham, he proved he plays winning basketball.

Luke Soden 6’4 Guard, Phillips Exeter: Soden has a smooth release from beyond the arc and makes defenses pay for leaving him open. He is a pest in the passing lanes, using his anticipation and athleticism to force steals and get out into the open floor. He has been one of the driving forces behind Exeter’s undefeated start to the season.

Alexander Bryant 6’8 Forward, South Kent: Bryant has an impressive 7-3 wingspan which allows him to be an elite rim protector especially in help defense situations. He is comfortable playing as a screener in the pick-and-roll, and understands screening angles well. Paired with his athleticism and size he is able to score a lot of points in the paint.

Abdou Yadd 6’10 Forward/Center, Putnam Science Academy: At 6’10, 250 pounds, Yadd is a nightmare for opposing forwards and wings to try and stop down low. Combined with his ability to knock down outside jumpers and put the ball on the floor, Yadd is a versatile player that could fit into any program.

Brandon Benjamin 6’8 Forward, St. Thomas More: Benjamin is a tenacious rebounder who is able to score in the lane with his size and soft touch. His 7-2 wingspan allows him to play up to the power forward position and fight with centers for position down-low. The mobility and athleticism he brings to the floor makes him a versatile defender and able to switch onto bigger/smaller players.

Ore Odutayo 6'8 Forward, Williston-Northampton: Odutayo is a versatile wing who is great at attacking the basket and finishing through contact. He has grown more comfortable knocking down jumpers off the dribble, and uses his athleticism to block shots on the defensive end of the court.

Payton Kamin 6’8 Wing, Worcester: Kamin is one of the best scorers in New England, coming off a blistering 38 points vs Bridgton on Feb. 2. He plays the game at his own pace, and at 6'8 he makes getting into the lane effortless with his ability to attack driving angles. He is skilled at a variety of tough layups, and has a great array of push shots and floaters to score in the paint. Kamin is also a respectable threat from beyond the arc, knocking down three-pointers at a 41.7% clip this season.

Danny Delgardo 6’1 Guard, Darrow: Delgardo made the jump to Darrow following an established career in Tampa Florida. The guard is a jolt of energy on the court that plays with a running motor. He limits mistakes with the ball in his hands, getting others involved and making smart decisions as a facilitator. As a scorer, Delgardo has a consistent outside jumper and can get up to attack the rim.

Tyler Vassel 6’6 Wing, Greens Farms: Vassel is a tough shotmaker with noticeable size on the wing. He thrives as a creator off the dribble that is able to step into outside jumpers, or knock down contested jumpers in the mid-range. Outside of scoring, Vassel makes winning plays sacrificing his body for charges, and competing defensively.

Dayn Campbell 6’0 Guard, Macduffie: Campbell has been a strong contributor on the season for the Macduffie School, bringing a scoring punch to the floor. The guard has been one of the top shooting threats for the team, converting them at a solid clip. Campbell can use his speed to get downhill off the catch, or to jump passing lanes and force turnovers as well.

Enzo Boudouma 6'8 Forward, Tilton: The postgrad from Switzerland has had numerous standout outings on the year. Boudouma stands at 6'8", and can score it at all three levels. His mobility and ability to put the ball on the floor to self-create are major advantages at his size. Boudouma has been a consistent double double threat, as he uses his body to box out and control the boards, and efficiently hits shots from beyond the arc.

Harvin Guevara 6'10 Big, Bridgeport: The Colombian native oozes with front court athleticism and size to impact the game. Guevara can be a vertical threat in the paint to throw down dunks, while also being an effective piece on the perimeter that can hunt his shots in the mid-range. He engages on the glass, boxing out and securing boards, as well as rising up to alter shots coming his way.
