The state of Connecticut was overwhelmed by tragedy on Friday after the unspeakable acts at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newton. With the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference leaving the decision to postpone games at the discretion of individual schools, many districts chose to reschedule Friday night’s contests while others continued on. In the NHIAA, Divisions III and IV tipped off last Friday night, while Divisions I and II get underway this Friday evening across the state.
