If you were to judge last year’s Winchendon team on wins and losses alone you could be fooled into thinking Matt Quinn’s first year at the helm of the program was a disappointing one.  But you would be completely wrong.  In fact, Quinn’s first year on the job had his team overachieving.  They played hard, defended with intensity, shared the ball, and were consequently able to exceed expectations throughout the season.  Quinn’s first year at Winchendon was the beginning of… READ MORE >

Canterbury Seven-Footer Picks Ivy League

It seems like a long time ago when Princeton was the predominant power in the Ivy League.  Even last year’s return to the NCAA tournament now seems like a brief return to glory as head coach Sydney Johnson moved on to Fairfield just as the majority of the line-up’s firepower graduated.  Now, first year head coach Mitch Henderson has taken over a program that suddenly found itself trailing in this fall’s recruiting wars after Harvard, Penn, and others have scored… READ MORE >

The St. Thomas More basketball team has a very different look than it did a year ago.  In fact, head coach Jere Quinn’s squad doesn’t return a single player from last year’s national championship squad.  Instead, the 2011-2012 edition looks more similar to their predecessors from three or four years ago and the style of play will likely be reminiscent as well.  With a variety of quick and scrappy guards you can expect the Chancellors to push the tempo more… READ MORE >
