The seventeen and under bracket featured a number of intriguing local match-ups and Expressions Elite was right in the middle of most of them.  They began the day against Metro Boston and Shabazz Napier, who was looking to put the punctuation mark on a terrific weekend, in the round of 16.  After pulling off a hard-fought victory in that contest, they moved on to face the New England Playaz in what may have been the most anticipated game of the… READ MORE >

The text message said it all.  "Decommitted I'm open recruited." It was Friday night when that message first came in and not until later during the day on Saturday when we finally got a chance to catch up with Danny Lawhorn.  "They just weren't showing me the same love," said Lawhorn when asked why he had chosen to open his recruitment back up.  "I wasn't sure if I would be a good fit with their style of play anymore."  So… READ MORE >

Junior Elite Camp - Day 3 Recap

Best on Day 3 Brian McNeal 2013- McNeal finishes with authority around the cup and has an advanced repitiore of moves. The athletic swingman can step outside and hit 3's consistantly with his picture perfect form. Playing the 4 and 5 for his undersized team, McNeal looks to be a wing player at the next level. If that wasn't enough he hit a near halfcourt three pointer to send his night game into overtime at the buzzer, scoring all of… READ MORE >

Junior Elite Camp - Day 1 Recap

We dedicated day one of the Hoop Mountain Junior Elite Camp to checking out the youngsters and there was quite a lot to be impressed with.  Here's a look at who stood out.  2014 Tyler Rowe-easily one of the best point guards of the west division. Went head to head in a backcourt matchup between a similar player in Devasis Sharma. Rowe is a floor general with a deceptively quick handle beyond his years. He easily glides towards the… READ MORE >
