Loomis Chaffee post-graduate John Nielsen has made a verbal commitment to attend St. Anselm’s College next year on a full basketball scholarship. Nielsen arrived at Loomis this fall after a tremendous two sport career at Port Jefferson High School in New York. YNETV is broadcasting Brewster Academy’s game against NIA Prep from November’s National Prep Showcase. YNETV will be teaming up with MyTV to air the game, which will reach 3 million households in Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. Notre Dame Prep has a big surprise on their roster…and we do mean big. Raphael Giaimo, a six-foot-ten two-hundred-and-seventy-pound center, was a late addition to the Notre Dame roster this fall. A native of Marseille, France, Giaimo didn’t arrive in American until after the fall evaluation period had taken place. The Rivers School hosted it’s 40th Annual Holiday Tournament over the weekend. Milton Academy took home the championship, defeating Rivers, 60-52. Class M Bloomfield – With defending champions Sacred Heart opting to compete in Class LL, Bloomfield has the most experience in the division.
