The New England Basketball League (NEBL) is back this weekend for their second session, this one taking place at Brewster Academy. The NEBL is designed to feature the region's top ten prep programs regardless of league affiliation and consists of Brewster Academy, Bridgton Academy, Cushing Academy, Northfield Mount Hermon School, New Hampton School, Putnam Science Academy, South Kent School, St. Thomas More School, Woodstock Academy, and Vermont Academy. Malden Catholic High School graduate and Bradford Christian Academy post-graduate forward Cristian Rios announced his verbal commitment to Post University, a division II school in Connecticut this past week. Rios, who spent time with both Mass Rivals and Middlesex Magic over the course of his grassroots career, was a key cog in Malden Catholic winning the Catholic Conference Tournament championship last year.
