Elite 75 College Showcase Recap pt. 6

Following the Elite 75 at Clark, we will be taking a look at each of the showcase teams and highlighting what they do well. Here's a look at one of the squads.

Cameron Perkins (Danbury HS, CT) is an athletic wing who attacks the rim with power, often finishing through contact. He is a very vocal defender who takes pride in getting stops. He also moves without the ball well, allowing him to knock down open threes and finish back-door layups. Strong presence, makes winning hustle plays when he’s on the court.

Gary Konopka (North Haven HS, CT) is a lead guard with a tight handle who gets downhill and into the lane, creating for himself and others. He plays hard and does anything he can to put his team in situations to succeed. Knocks down threes and makes the right passes.

Dylan Resendes (Masters, CT) is poised and calm when handling the ball. He has soft touch and a knack for finding perimeter shooters when driving the lanes. The combo guard also knocks down open catch-and-shoot threes, plus demonstrates crafty finishes in the paint with both hands. He also has a pure shooting form.

Justice Buchannan (Bedford HS, MA) is a big, vocal guard who loves contact. He looks for opportunities to attack while also maintaining a college-ready IQ with no turnovers. He is also a shooter that can hit from long range.

Michael Coggins (Suffield HS, CT) is a strong left-handed wing who uses his physicality to create space and finish at the rim with force. He is a consistent shooter who excels in the mid-range. Uses both hands to initiate offense while also maintaining strong defensive fundamentals. Has solid shot-blocking instincts as well.

Quentin Ford (Manchester HS, CT) is a good-sized combo guard with a natural ability to score from all three levels. He has a good balance of strength and athleticism, allowing him to also perform well defensively. Creates at will offensively and makes crafty finishes around the rim.

Marquis Ward (Maloney HS, CT) is a powerful and shifty point guard who uses his unbelievable physical strength to get to his spots on the floor. He has a quick first step and is difficult to stop when attacking down hill. Lockdown defender who blocks shots.

Brandon Torres (Brockton HS, MA) is an athletic combo guard who excels in the mid range and in transition. He plays with good control while staying aggressive and making smart plays. Has a good stroke from deep to knock down treys, and is a solid playmaker for others.

Cam Shoesmith (Bedford HS, MA) is a powerful forward who can knock down the three ball and really bruise down low. He fights relentlessly on the glass, coming down with lots of offensive rebounds. Strong defensive presence.
