Six-foot-seven small forward Tavon Allen made a verbal commitment to Drexel on Friday while on the school’s campus for his official visit. The story was first reported by ESPN.com. Marianapolis Prep head coach Dave Vitale announced on Thursday that he would step down effective immediately, turning the reigns of his program over to his son and previous assistant, Andrew Vitale. The University of Rhode Island landed their first commitment in the class of 2011 in six-foot-three swingman T.J. Buchanan from Kalamazoo High School in Michigan.
