Lee Academy power forward Chen Cai made a verbal commitment to Loyola of Maryland and head coach Jimmy Pastos on Thursday. Cai arrived in Lee this fall after a succesful high school career in San Diego after coming to the United States from his native country of China. Brown University head coach Jesse Agel landed a commitment from Jon Schmidt earlier this week. Schmidt is a six-foot-seven forward from the Friends School in Maryland. Schmidt averaged 24 points, 14 rebounds, and 3 assists this year and recovered from a torn hamstring that he suffered while running with Nike's Baltimore Elite AAU squad. Notre Dame Prep guard Todd Mayo made a verbal commitment to Marquette head coach Buzz Williams on Friday afternoon. Mayo visited Marquette's campus two weeks ago and was on hand to see the Golden Eagles score a 24 victory over Providence. St. Michael's head coach Mike Harding received a verbal commitment from Corey Crawford last night. Crawford is a six-foot, one-hundred-and-seventy-five pound guard from the Phelps School in Malvern, Pennsylvania.
