Today is June, 15th and that means it is the first day that college coaches are permitted to call players in the class of 2012. The seventeen-and-under field at the Rumble in the Bronx Tournament included 44 teams, 11 pools, and 9 clubs from New England. Defense was the name of the game this weekend as Boston Amateur Basketball Club captured the sixteen-and-under championship at the Rumble in the Bronx. The University of Massachusetts earned a commitment from Hofstra transfer Chaz Williams on Friday afternoon. Williams had visited the Amherst campus earlier in the week. A New York native who starred at Bishop Ford High School in Brooklyn prior to arriving at Hofstra, Williams held down the starting point guard position for virtually his entire freshman season with the Pride. The University of New Hampshire added the latest piece to their recruiting class in six-foot-seven two-hundred-and-thirty pound center Kazadi Nyanguila from Vanier College in Canada.
