Posted Thursday, February 20th, 2020

Westminster School post-graduate forward Rafa Carton Charfole made a verbal commitment to accept a full athletic scholarship offer from the University of Minnesota Crookston, a small public university with a division II athletics program.  "They showed they really wanted me and also that I was going to make an ipact on their team," he told NERR's Zack Sandberg. "The importance of a degree from the University of Minnesota and obviously the full scholarship [were factors too]." Minnesota Crookston is not… READ MORE >

Diarra continues to set pace in Connecticut 2020

Hassan Diarra 2020

Posted Wednesday, February 19th, 2020

Of all six New England states, Connecticut stands alone when it comes to the overall depth in the class.  Our updated rankings include 50 prospects, all of whom are clear scholarship prospects, with even more prospects at that level falling beyond the top 50.  With that many scholarship candidates in one state, ranking them is an inexact science to say the least, because when the degree of separation is so finite it really becomes a matter of perspective, especially for… READ MORE >

Femi Odukale 2020

Posted Monday, February 17th, 2020

This may be Femi Odukale's first season in the New England prep ranks, but he's hardly a newcomer to the region after playing travel basketball with local teams in each of the last two grassroots seasons, and to say he's brought his game to new levels since arriving at Springfield Commonwealth would be an understatement to say the least.  Odukale graduated from South Shore High School in Brooklyn last year where he had steady mid-major recruitment. This year, and in recent… READ MORE >

Winchendon Duo Earns Scholarships

Posted Saturday, February 15th, 2020

The Winchendon School has been revitalized this year under second year head coach Kevin Kehoe, not just returning to class AA of the NEPSAC and winning games but also producing scholarship talent.  The most recent examples came this week when a pair of post-graduates accepted full athletic scholarships.  First was Sam Towns, a 6-foot-9 forward from Ohio who had become the team's most recruited prospect this year, accumulating numerous division I offers. With his choice of destinations, Towns elected to… READ MORE >

Vermont Academy leads way in Green Mountain State’s 2020 class

It should come as no surprise that the best 2020 prospects currently playing in the state of Vermont are currently at the state's only premier prep program.  While the local products inside the VPA have risen their profile in recent months, and expanded our rankings because of it, the top scholarship prospects still lay along Long Walk Trail in Saxtons River.  CJ Jones is an elite shooter of the basketball and looks like a steal for Boston University after pushing… READ MORE >

The New Hampshire class of 2020 is once again loaded thanks to the presence of the state's prep schools and their top prospects.  It should come as no surprise that Brewster Academy's Terrence Clarke remains the top-ranked prospect in the state. The newly named McDonald's All-American has held the top ranking throughout his career and will star for John Calipari at Kentucky next year.  Clarke is one of seven Brewster products in the state's top ten and is joined by… READ MORE >

Aidan Carpenter 2020

Posted Wednesday, February 12th, 2020

How can a player no longer playing within the state of Maine be the top ranked prospect in the state? Well, despite the fact that Aidan Carpenter left Lee Academy at mid-year, he's always been a member of Maine's class of 2020, dating back to his time at Hyde. He also won't officially debut for Siena until next fall, alongside the rest of the class of 2020.  So, while he may not be in Maine right at the moment, there's… READ MORE >

Wilmoth, Kolek fighting for top spot in RI’s 2020 class

Myles Wilmoth 2020

Posted Monday, February 10th, 2020

2020 rankings debut in the state of Rhode Island where there the top of the class is strong.  The race for the number one spot is between two players. St. Andrew's Myles Wilmoth is headed to Butler next year and was the only player in the class who was recruited at the high-major level. So from one perspective, that should make him the clear top ranked prospect in the state.  Conversely, St. George's Tyler Kolek is headed to George Mason in… READ MORE >
