The Massachusetts class of 2013 is by far the deepest in New England. Not only did we rank 15 players in the state but we found it difficult to cut the list there as the state has 20+ prospects who would be ranked in any other state in the region. Yale University had already put together a terrific recruiting class for 2011…but it just got a lot better. Brandon Sherrod, who led Stratford High School to a pair of state championships and took Gatorade Player of the Year honors in the state of Connecticut last year as a senior, committed to the Bulldogs on Tuesday night. The Connecticut class of 2013 has added some notable talent this year but Kuran Iverson is still relatively unchallenged as the state’s top player in the sophomore class. Yale University landed a big commitment on Monday morning when Northfield Mount Hermon post-graduate Armani Cotton committed to the Bulldogs. It should come as no surprise that Nerlens Noel is the top ranked player in New Hampshire’s class of 2013. Cheverus' Matt Cimino and Jonesport-Beals' Garet Beal turned in two of the most impressive individual performances at last month's New England Elite 75 Showcase - Frosh/Soph Edition, showing themselves to be the top prospects in Maine's sophomore class as a result.
