The University of Connecticut picked up a commitment from Kentan Facey on Wednesday evening, following an unofficial visit to the school. A six-foot-nine power forward from Long Island Lutheran in New York, Facey was one of the big winners of the recent July evaluation period, running with the New Rens grassroots program. After 50 years, 878 wins, and 11 state championships, Vito Montelli announced his retirement on Wednesday at a press conference in Vazzano’s Four Seasons in Stratford, Connecticut.
