When we published our Vermont rankings in the class of 2018 last week, the major theme of the class was that we wanted to see more. We wanted to see more of the state's talent emerge, both locally and beyond, as it has become increasingly difficult to identify the same amount of college prospects within the state's borders. That isn't to say they don't exist. In fact, we are willing to bet that they do, but they have simply yet…

As we continue to update our 2019 rankings it should come as no surprise that St. Andrew's guard Brycen Goodine is the top ranked player in the state of Rhode Island. Earlier this week we reported Goodine's offer from Syracuse following last week's elite camp, while also noting how this could be the offer that opens the flood gates for an up and coming guard who still remains somewhat under the national radar for some unknown reasons. In the New…

2019 rankings begin the same way 2018 did, in the state of Maine, as we'll begin up north and gradually work our way down. As a reminder, NERR rankings are based on projected level of play in college, not on high school productivity. There is, of course, a correlation between the two but it isn't quite as high as most parents or casual fans would think. Addtionally, our post summer rankings only take into account players who are returning to…

There are times when things happen in the world that can make basketball seem unimportant. The last few days have been among those times as Houston, Texas has been pounded by Hurricane/Tropical Storm Harvey and the flooding that came along with it. It isn't even over yet as experts are predicting some 50 inches of rain in the city before the week comes to an end leaving thousands trapped and/or homeless. Many of the images to come out of Houston…

State among others.…

An updated version of the 2018 ESPN 100 was unveiled this week, with nine members of New England's 2018 class making the cut. As is the case throughout the year, an updated ESPN 100 also means an updated version of NERR's New England rankings. After another successful summer on the grassroots circuits, New England prospects saw an overall rise in their recruitment and prospect status. The overwhelming majority of players ranked atop New England's 2018 class either committed to their…

Over the course of the last week we’ve rolled out updated rankings for the incoming senior class one state at a time. Now, it is time to put those together in one consolidated New England list. The current rankings include 60 prospects but do not yet include incoming prep products who did not play within our state’s borders last year. These rankings also come after spending the entire month on the road, but remember, rankings are based first and foremost…
