In Saturday's recap from the Providence Jam Fest we told you that Tavon Allen had the dunk of the day when Phil Gaetano found him cutting through the lane. Upon the catch, Allen elevated and cocked the ball back only to be plowed into by the defender. That didn't stop Allen as he still threw down the dunk in mid-air despite being sent to the floor. Keegan Hyland never made any secret of the fact that he wanted to go to the highest level. Avon Old Farms’ post-graduate guard Latif Rivers became one of the first two players to commit to new Wagner head coach Danny Hurley on Monday according to SNY’s Adam Zagoria. Hurley recently arrived at Wagner after serving as the head coach at St. Benedict’s Prep for the last nine years. The Bay State Jaguars Elite and BABC took to court #1 on Sunday night and thrilled the standing room only crowd during the 14U Championship at the 2010 New England AAU Super Regional in Foxboro. The Jaguars opened the game with a 9-0 run, but BABC brought the game back, taking the lead 32-31. NBE Basketball is reporting that Brice Kofane, a six-foot-eight power forward from the Miller School in Virginia, committed to Providence. Nate Vernon, the 6'’5"” Suffield Academy sharpshooter ended his recruitment on Monday, as he called Assistant Coach Ryan Mee to commit to the University of Rochester. Jordon Bronner, a six-foot point guard from Iona Prep in New York, committed to New Hampshire this weekend at the conclusion of his official visit to the school. Bronner also saw recruitment from places like Monmouth, Wagner, and Vermont.
