The Kent School's senior center Theodore Boyomo made a verbal commitment to Howard University on Monday of last week with plans to sign on Tuesday or Wednesday. When no letter of intent was signed by mid-week, Kent head coach Jason Coulombe said that Boyomo had opted out of his commitment and was now likely to choose between Siena and Rutgers. The Connecticut Basketball Club opened their doors on Sunday morning and although they didn’t put on a traditional “showcase”, they became the latest AAU program to invite coaches as well as the New England Recruiting Report in to watch their teams workout. The Connecticut Basketball Club invited coaches and the New England Recruiting in to watch their Sunday morning workout. The workout was divided into two halves with the u17 team practicing on their own and the u14 – u16 teams working together in a group type setting. Marianapolis Prep's post-graduate swingman Gedas Bertasius is heading to Dartmouth College next year to play for newly appointed head coach Paul Cormier. Boston College landed a verbal commitment from six-foot-six swingman Eddie Odio on Thursday. Odio joins Milton Academy big man Dennis Clifford in the Eagles' 2011 class.
