This Week’s Notable Performances

Posted Thursday, January 27th, 2011

It's become a little redundant as every week we start with almost the same phrase but once again New England's week was cut short by the latest snow storm.  Nevertheless, there were a variety of top performances: Connecticut Player of the Week – John Papale, Choate Rosemary Hall – Papale set three different school records last weekend when he made nine second half three-pointers.  The junior scored 28 of his game high 32 points in the second half as Choate… READ MORE >

Trinity College may be located in Hartford, Connecticut, but first year head coach James Cosgrove is making New Hampshire his new home away from home.  Just a couple of weeks after receiving a commitment from one of the top seniors in the state in Pelham’s Steve Spirou, Cosgrove landed another of the NHIAA’s best when Milford’s Mike OLoughlin made a similar pledge.  But it didn’t end there as Trinity has also picked up a commitment from Carter Trent, a post-graduate… READ MORE >

Smith Earns Scholarship

There are very few players in all of New England who have put up the same type of numbers or won as many games as Tylon Smith Jr. has within the last two years.  During his junior season at Kingswood-Oxford he averaged 26 points per game and led K-O to a 23-2 record and a run to the semi-finals of the NEPSAC Class B tournament before eventually falling to a loaded St. Mark’s squad 53-47.  On the AAU circuit Smith… READ MORE >
