Central Connecticut Adds a Pair

CCSU head coach Howie Dickenman and his staff landed their latest two prospects in the class of 2011 this weekend and one appears to be a major steal.

Adonis Burbage, a six-foot-four swingman from Orland Christian Prep in Florida, committed to the Blue Devils on Friday night.  Burbage, who ran with the Florida Rams on the grassroots circuit, is rated an 85 by ESPN because of his dynamic ability to create his own shot and get to the rim.  Burbage is also an excellent defender, capable of locking up multiple positions.

Earlier in the week Central had gotten a commitment from Shelton Mickell, a six-foot-one combo-guard from Cardoza High School in New York.  A much improved player on one of the city's best high school teams, Mickell is known as a player who can score points in bunches, both with his drive and his jumper, and plays with a distinctive New York style flair to his game.

Burbage and Mickell join Kyle Vinales, Malcolm McMillan, and Teris Bourgeois in CCSU's 2011 recruiting class.
