The annual RBC Sports Summer Challenge hosted many of the MIAA’s top teams in the northern region of the state. Northfield Mount Hermon added to their monopoly of Ivy bound talent on Saturday when rising senior forward Tommy Carpenter made a verbal commitment to Dartmouth. The six-foot-seven forward will join former teammates Jvonte Brooks and John Golden, who are both incoming freshmen, when he arrives on the New Hampshire campus in September of 2012. Clayton Palmer, a six-foot-eight center from Mount Anthony Union High School in Vermont, committed to Dominican College late last week. Palmer earned a full athletic scholarship from the division II school located just outside of New York City. Palmer averaged 16 points and 10 rebounds during his senior year en route to being named the Vermont Basketball Coaches Association Player of the Year.
