There are few tournaments in northeast that have the same level of history and tradition as the Boston Shootout. Annually run by the B.A.B.C. the tournament has hosted tons of division I players and even a few who have gone on to play in the NBA. The event returns to Boston University’s Case Gym this weekend. Tilton Wins Battle for Canty When word got out that Ryan Canty was considering a move to prep school to repeat his junior year, it wasn’t hard to predict that he’d pick up plenty of interest from local programs. Andre Drummond is heading to Colorado Springs, Colorado later this week along with 16 other top players from around the country as part of the USA Development National Team. The players will train from June 6th – 12th at the U.S. Olympic Training Center. Northfield Mount Hermon’s rising senior shooting-guard Laurent Rivard has been named to Canada’s U19 national team. Rivard returned home to Canada in early May for a four day try-out which ultimately resulted in his selection to the team. Findlay College Prep’s Tristan Thompson, who is already committed to Texas, was also named to the squad.
