Best on Day 3 Brian McNeal 2013- McNeal finishes with authority around the cup and has an advanced repitiore of moves. The athletic swingman can step outside and hit 3's consistantly with his picture perfect form. Playing the 4 and 5 for his undersized team, McNeal looks to be a wing player at the next level. If that wasn't enough he hit a near halfcourt three pointer to send his night game into overtime at the buzzer, scoring all of…

While yesterday we put the spotlight on the camps top middle school players, today we look at the older guys at camp, including a loaded class of rising freshman. It was four years ago that Hoop Mountain introduced a novel idea...the Academic All-American Camp. The camp was designed for players with at least a 3.2 grade point average and a score of 1150 on the SAT. The end result was a camp that drew some of the best student athletes from around the country and college coaches from all of the top NCAA schools. Fast forward four years and many others have tried to duplicate the All-American Camp, but…

We dedicated day one of the Hoop Mountain Junior Elite Camp to checking out the youngsters and there was quite a lot to be impressed with. Here's a look at who stood out. 2014 Tyler Rowe-easily one of the best point guards of the west division. Went head to head in a backcourt matchup between a similar player in Devasis Sharma. Rowe is a floor general with a deceptively quick handle beyond his years. He easily glides towards the…

For college coaches, recruiting is a two-step process, evaluating prospects and then selling your program. Coaches can build their programs by developing a niche in either area and Providence College may have just scored a major recruiting victory by out-evaluating other high major programs and landing Ron Giplaye. “He’s the best low post scorer we have ever had in our program other than Mike Bradley,” said BABC founder and head coach Leo Papile. “His body of work over his career…

Thursday’s New England Elite 75 Showcase meant one thing for the players in attendance…opportunity. The entire format of the showcase was designed with the intent of giving the players every opportunity to show the 40+ on-looking division I college coaches what they were capable of doing. Initially players went through a series of intense drills to test their ball skills, specifically their shot and handle. Next, players were divided by position and put through a series of 1 on 1…

BABC got their first tune-up on their way to the Nike Peach Jam Tournament later this week as they squared off against a team from the Netherlands called the Dukes. BABC jumped on the Dukes early as they overwhelmed them with their full court pressure and got an early boost from Mike Carter-Williams who put on a show in the game’s opening minutes with his tremendous skill set and great feel for the game. He scored in every which way…

Top 20 All-Stars Naofall Folahan – His week started and ended on high notes after being the first big man taken in Sunday’s draft and then being selected for Wednesday’s all-star game. He was equally impressive at all stops in between as he was one of the top players in the field on talent alone. His potential seems limitless with so much size and athleticism, not to mention some deceiving skills. Corey Wright Jr. – He thrived at this camp…
