The University of Massachusetts will be hosting a coaches clinic on Saturday, October 24th at the Curry Hicks Cage on their Amherst campus. The clinic will feature UMass head coach Derek Kellogg and associate head coach Vance Walberg explaining the much talked about Dribble Drive Offense. Yesterday we told you that Keegan Hyland made a verbal commitment to the University of Vermont. Thursday morning came news that although Hyland did in fact commit to the Catamounts, he had a change of heart very shortly thereafter and de-committed and is reportedly now leaning towards attending prep school next season. Eighth grade shooting guard Matt Costello from Lynnfield opened up the tournament in Springfield, Mass with a strong 38 point performance against South County Basketball Club. Overall, he averaged 24 points per game over the weekend tournament and was responsible for approximately 50% of his team's offensive production. Keegan Hyland made a verbal commitment to the University of Vermont on Wednesday, giving the Catamounts a huge addition for the 2010-2011 season. Hoop Mountain held their final Fall Classic event of the fall Sunday afternoon at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York. Over 140 players from all over the east coast were on hand to play in front of a multitude of Division 3 college coaches.
