The Tilton basketball team made their latest trip last weekend, traveling to Morgantown, West Virginia for the Mountaineer Classic. The Rams came away with a pair of wins, knocking off Villa Angela-St. Joseph 67-50 and then Arlington Country Day 68-53. The New England Recruiting Report has announced our 2012 tournament schedule and it once again includes the Northeast Hoops Festival as well as the Super 16 Showcase. The Northeast Hoops Festival will continue to take place on ACT weekend in April. The Southborough 6th grade Metrowest Division 1 team has started the season on a roll. Currently they are undefeated in league play – 5-0 and just participated in the Hoophall Classic this past weekend in Springfield coming up short to a strong regional team by 2 points in the semi finals. While most teams stayed at home last weekend for a variety of top local events, St. Andrew’s School made the long trip to Abbotsford, Canada for the Abbotsford Collegiate Snowball Classic, a very prestigious tournament in Western Canada. The trip began last Wednesday when St. Andrew’s flew out to Seattle and then took a 55 passenger coach bus for a two and a half hour drive to Abbotsford, a city of approximately 170,000 people located one hour outside of Vancouver. …
