The NEPSAC’s controversial last-minute decision to deny Commonwealth Academy, a team loaded with talent and toughness that finished 19-2 in conference, the opportunity to play in the AA Tournament removed a program that likely would have been the two seed and certainly a contender for this year’s championship. National Prep Championship Field Announced

The field for the 2016 National Prep Championship has been announced and includes three programs from Connecticut, three from Florida, two from Massachusetts, two from Virginia and one from New Hampshire. The NEPSAC announced post-season brackets in classes AAA through D on Sunday. Only 8 teams made each of the respective six brackets. Quarterfinal action takes place on Wednesday with semifinals on Saturday and finals on Sunday. Rhode Island College will host the AAA, AA and A finals on Sunday while Wheaton College will host Classes B, C and D.
