Jamaal David 2016

Williston Northampton post-graduate guard Jamaal David made a verbal commitment to Charleston Southern, a division I program competing in the Big South Conference, earlier this week before signing on Friday.

David graduated from Bullis High School in Maryland before opting for his post-graduate season where he was able to transition into more of a guard after playing primarily on the wing throughout most of his high school career.

David became an important contributor for a Wildcat team that went on to win their second consecutive NEPSAC Class A championship.

While he's still only just scratching the surface of his potential, David has clear upside with his size, length and playmaking tools in the backcourt.

He becomes the 9th member of Williston Northampton's 2016 class to move on to play college basketball and the fourth to earn an athletic scholarship as he joins Sam Geschickter (Bentley), Kyle Doucette (LIU Post) and Chris Hudson (Bentley).
