The first ever Junior Elite Championships will take place this weekend at the Rockingham Athletic Club. The tournament features some of the top programs in New England including the Rhode Island Hawks, Connecticut Select, Rhode Island Breakers, MB Nation, Mass Rivals, and others. PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Providence College men's basketball coach Keno Davis announced on June 15, 2010 that student-athlete Dre Evans (Dallas, Texas) will attend Providence College beginning in September 2010. Evans, a 5-foot-10-inch, 160-pound guard was a four-year starter and a two-year captain for Head Coach Robert Allen at Carter High School in Dallas. The seventeen-and-under field at the Rumble in the Bronx Tournament included 44 teams, 11 pools, and 9 clubs from New England. The University of Massachusetts earned a commitment from Hofstra transfer Chaz Williams on Friday afternoon. Williams had visited the Amherst campus earlier in the week. The University of New Hampshire added the latest piece to their recruiting class in six-foot-seven two-hundred-and-thirty pound center Kazadi Nyanguila from Vanier College in Canada.
