Toledo has landed a new backcourt and they came to New England to do it. A few days ago we told you that Toledo had landed a commitment from 6’0 point guard Paul Becklens from Dorchester, Massachusetts and Bridgton Academy. Paul Becklens a 6’0 post-graduate point guard from Bridgton Academy is headed to Toledo next year while a little farther north another point guard in Tremayne Russell is headed back home to Florida where he will attend FIU. For the second consecutive season Hillhouse and East Catholic met in Connecticut’s Division I state championship game. But from the onset this game had a very different feel from a year ago. Four years and four state titles…that’s a pretty impressive accomplish for any team. Last season after their third consecutive crown many people may have thought it was the end of an era as Bishop Hendricken was set to graduate four of their starters.
