Why it’s worth it to go after the big guys

First it was Donovan Mitchell. Then it was Wenyen Gabriel. Now Providence fans and even some analysts are suggesting that the Friars shouldn't bother to recruit against the "blue bloods."

It's actually a relevant question for any program that competes in a high-major league that isn't Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, North Carolina, UCLA or something comparable.

So, we asked Ed Cooley what he thought about that at Big East media day, and then layed out the value in not backing down from the big boys.
