Class of ‘25 Commitment Catch Up pt. 3

Let’s take a look at eight more prospects who have announced their commitments to both DII and DIII programs for the fall.

Robby Fiore, Babson

The 6-foot-2 guard from The Rivers School is coming off of a big senior season, surpassing 1,000 career points and earning a selection to the ISL (Independent School League) all-league team. He was a key player for The Rivers School, shooting lights out during the team’s run to the NEPSAC championship game alongside Ryan Altman and Andrew Alekseyenko

Fiore will join the Babson Beavers of the NEWMAC, a perennial contender in the conference.

Drezell Duffaut, Western New England

Duffaut is a big-time scorer, leading Raymond in scoring this season with 19.5 points per game. Despite an early playoff exit for Raymond in the postseason, the explosive guard poured in 28 points to end the season. The guard can score it on the move when getting into the lane, and excels off the catch from outside.

Duffaut will be joining the Golden Bears of Western New England, looking to add to a team coming off an impressive 23-7 season and a run to the NCAA Tournament.

Jordan Brown, Roberts Wesleyan

Brown is a dynamic scorer at the guard position who received an All-NEPSAC honorable mention for this season. Before attending the Darrow School for a post-grad year, he played for the Broadneck Bruins. Outside of scoring, Brown is a great rebounder at the guard spot, and forces turnovers on defense.

Brown will stay in New York to play Division II ball at Roberts Wesleyan.

Devon Hanavan, Wartburg

The 6-foot-3 combo guard thrives in the lane and on tough finishes, and is a much improved three-point shooter. Hanavan is a valuable defender who has a high motor and good timing to block shots and grab steals. He’s played up to the wing position in his career.

He will now join the highly improved Wartburg Knights led by a familiar face in Sam Leal, who increased their win total by 13 last season.

Abdiel Zapata, Suffolk

As a combo guard for Bridgton Academy, Zapata had a great season shooting the ball and thriving both on and off the ball. He earned an honorable mention nod during the Zero Gravity Prep Classic Tournament in December 2024.

Joining a Suffolk Rams team coming off a 20-8 season, Zapata will have plenty of opportunities to continue to improve.

Drew Kahn, UChicago

A member of the 2024-25 All-NEPSAC team, Kahn is an elite shooter who can also rise up for explosive finishes at the rim. The 6-foot-3 guard also received All-ISL honors at Nobles, following a big season in the HGSL with Team New England.

Kahn will now join the University of Chicago Maroons under coach Mike McGrath.

Colmn Gilroy, Nichols

Gilroy is a versatile 6-foot-7 forward with a lot to offer on both ends of the floor. He impressed last year at the New England Open Gym, with college coaches in attendance, as he displayed his skillset in both the post and on the perimeter.

The Massachusetts native will return to the Bay State to play for the Nichols College Bison.

David Dix, Pace

At 5-foot-10, Dix is a shifty guard who can blow by defenders with ease and operate in the pick-and-roll at a high level. This season at the Canterbury School, he earned All-NEPSAC honors and was named Co-Defensive Player of the Year.

Dix will bring his high energy play to Pace University for the Setters.
