Notable Performances Returns to NERR

New England's Notable Performances will return to NERR next week.  As in year’s past, we once again will be accepting nominations for players who have stood out in any number of ways.  While we are of course interested in guys who have big nights putting points on the board, we also want to hear about players who stood out in other ways.  Whether it is heroics down the stretch of games, lock down defense, or big numbers in other categories…we want to hear about it.

Here are a few examples from this past week:

Daryl McCoy, Hartford Public HS (CT):  The Drexel bound big man scored 20 points, but even more impressively, pulled down 24 rebounds as he led Hartford Public over their city rival, Weaver High School, in the prestigious Doc Hurley Classic.

Keegan Hyland, South Portland HS (ME):  Anytime somebody goes for 40 points in a single game it is extremely impressive, but to do it when you’re being defended by a box and one defense is incredibly special and that’s what Hyland did last Wednesday night as he scored 40 points including five three-pointers.

Austin Carroll, Worcester Academy (MA):  Coming off of consecutive disappointing losses, Worcester Academy was looking for a spark heading into their game against St. Mark’s.  Carroll provided it as he went for 30 points catching fire from behind the three-point line and being the best player on the floor on this particular night.

In order to nomiate a player to New England's Notable Performances List please e-mail us at [email protected] and put "notable performances" as the subject.
