Miranda Returning to New England
When updated New England rankings are released in the near future there will be a new name added among the top prospects in the class of 2023, but it will be a very familiar name.
Pawtucket, Rhode Island native Isaiah Miranda is returning to New England and transferring into Springfield Commonwealth after two years in Pennsylvania at the Phelps School.
When Miranda initially left the region, he was a talented, but undeveloped, young prospect. After two years under the tutelage of Trey Morin, a New England native himself, Miranda has exploded nationally and is currently ranked among the ESPN 60.
Morin announced earlier this summer he would be leaving Phelps to take over the program at St. Andrew's Episcopal School in Texas. After that happened, it became clear that Miranda would be on the move.
At SCA, Miranda will play for Antonio Anderson, the former Memphis star who will be in his first year in the prep ranks after guiding Lynn English to a 73-19 record over the last four years.
Miranda currently holds offers from the likes of UConn, Providence, Maryland, and Oklahoma State among others, but that's likely to be only the tip of the iceberg if he continues to make gains in his productivity and efficiency, given his undeniable tools.
I am excited to announce my commitment to Springfield Commonwealth Academy this fall. I am also deeply appreciative of the Phelps School for developing me into the student and athlete I am today. Thank you for all of the time and support the coaches, staff and faculty put into me pic.twitter.com/HTzjQ42V2T

Biggest take-away for me this weekend was the progression of Isaiah Miranda.

Still has to keep improving his decisions and consistency, but he’s made great strides in the last two years and has as much natural talent as any 2023 prospect in New England. pic.twitter.com/92rm5F7pIC
