Lasewski Already on HM Radar

Thursday, August 20th, 2015

It was just last month in Las Vegas that the rest of the country started to find out what those of us in New England already knew - that Nate Laszewski has some serious upside.

The 6-foot-7 forward was at the Adidas Summer Championships, competing with his New England Playaz on the 16-and-under circuit, when all of a sudden high-major coaches and national media members from outside the northeast region all appeared to realize there was a rapidly growing perimeter forward with a knockdown three-point stroke.

Unofficial visits to Wisconsin, where Lasewski's father previously played, and Notre Dame have followed this month while dozens of other high-major programs have now begun to express interest.

Lasewski is also preparing for his first season in the NEPSAC after transferring from his hometown Avon High School, where he earned All-State honors in just his second season, to Northfield Mount Hermon where he'll reclassify to 2018 and join a talented young roster.

With an already long track record of starring at NERR events, including the 2014 and 2015 Stars of Tomorrow Camps as well as the 2014 Elite 75 Frosh/Soph - Lasewski is set to return to the Elite 75 Showcase - Frosh Soph Edition next month for "Saturday Night Live at the Elite 75."
