Boston University got an early jump on their 2015 recruiting class on Wednesday with a pair of commitments from Matt Hein and Daouda Ndiaye from Windermere Prep and the Orlando Venom AAU team. Hein is a five-foot-seven point guard and Ndiaye is a six-foot-eleven center with a very high ceiling. Boston College scored a late recruiting victory in the class of 2013 on Wednesday, picking up a commitment from six-foot-eleven big man Billy Magarity. Magarity is a Swedish native who plays for the country’s U-20 national team. His father, Bill Magarity, grew up playing in Philadelphia and was the MVP of the Philadelphia Catholic League in 1971 before relocating to Sweden. Southern Connecticut State University added another piece to their incoming 2013 recruiting class recently with a commitment from Master’s School senior forward Austin Carter. The six-foot-six forward ran with the New York Lightning on the 2012 EYBL circuit and saw wide-ranging division I interest and recruitment throughout the course of his high school and AAU careers. New UMass Lowell head coach Pat Duquette picked up his first verbal commitment since taking over the River Hawks' program last month. Jahad Thomas, a six-foot-two two-hundred-and-twenty pound swingman from Williamsport High School in Pennsylvania, committed to UMass Lowell over the weekend.
