Boston University landed their latest huge commitment on Wednesday, receiving a verbal pledge from six-foot-eleven SMU transfer Blaise Mbargorba. Mbargorba redshirted this season at SMU after injuring his shoulder in the fall but was still heaviliy pursued upon announcing his transfer, receiving offers all the way up to the Big East Conference. New Hampton School forward Mike Auger landed a scholarship offer from Quinnipiac University head coach Tom Moore on Wednesday night. The news was first reported by the Mass Rivals twitter account @RivalsNation. Quinnipiac becomes the third school to offer Auger a scholarship, joining Binghamton and New Hampshire. Cushing Academy swingman Idris Taqqee took an unofficial visit to Towson on Wednesday. Towson became the second division I school to offer Taqqee a scholarship this spring, joining Vermont, who previously offered last summer. The New England basketball community is mourning the sudden an unexpected loss of Bentley freshman and former Cardinal Spellman High School and Middlesex Magic star, Joey Glynn. Glynn was playing with a Middlesex Magic team last night at a men’s league game at Saltonstall Park in Watertown, when he collapsed on the court. The Super 16 fifteen-and-under championship came down to two strong programs in Maine Athletic Club and New Heights.
