Nate Stitchell of Coventry (RI) High School and the Rhode Island Hawks committed to, and signed a National Letter of Intent with, Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, New York this past week.  Mercy is a Division II institution who participates in the East Coast Conference. Mavericks head coach Adam Parmenter had recruited Stitchell since July of 2009 and followed him during both the high school and AAU seasons before offering him a scholarship in December of 2010. Brewster Academy big man Mitch McGary will take an unofficial visit to UConn this weekend as was first reported by ESPN.com’s Dave Telep.
