There was an unusual dynamic when we watched the New England Storm workout. They got better with each passing year. Most teams get better as they go up in grade, but for the Storm it was actually the opposite, at least when projecting out talent long-term. This was the best u17 team they’ve had in recent years, but the u16 team was even better. The u15 team was the best of the bunch though and both a result of the…

The New England Storm made it clear, they wanted all three of their top high school teams to be part of the Be Seen Tour. They understood that most of their counterparts were focused on their varsity teams, and rightfully so given the amount of exposure opportunities they had missed this season. They too were going to give their u17 program the platform, but they wanted to make sure their younger teams had the same opportunity. When we arrived in…

There was a time, not that long ago, when the New England Storm were producing prospects for every level of college basketball. Georges Niang started his AAU career in a Storm uniform while they had a host of others who went on to play in the NE-10, NESCAC, and a variety of other levels. More recently, they’ve been known for the sheer size of their program, with 60 teams ranging through New Hampshire and Massachusetts, but not necessarily the same…

Kimball Union Academy and Albany City Rocks guard Robert Brown III announced his verbal commitment to Niagara on Friday afternoon. The pledge brings Brown back closer to his home in upstate New York and also gives Niagara head coach Greg Paulus, another immediate impact talent from the local ranks. Brown previously starred at Albany Academy prior to transferring to KUA, where he earned first-team All-New England honors for a squad that won 21 games. A physically strong and aggressive player…

Even for the most talented international prospects, the transition to the American game is rarely an easy one. It's a process that requires adjusting to new levels of speed, physicality, different styles of play, and even officiating. However, when the talent is there, sometimes it's just a matter of time before those prospects start putting it all together. And that could very likely be the case for incoming Cheshire Academy post-graduate Terence Crowley, who just completed his first two seasons…
