Maine native Tyler McFarland ended his recruitment earlier this week with a verbal commitment to Bentley University. Notre Dame Prep guard Myles Davis put an end to his recruitment late Monday night with a verbal commitment to Xavier. Davis had planned an announcement on national television last week if his Playaz Basketball Club was able to advance to the finals of the Nike Peach Jam but the announcement was delayed when they were turned away in the quarterfinals. Lawrence Academy's Dan Giovacchini was recently named the winner of the High School Sullivan Award. St. Michael's College received an early verbal commitment in the class of 2012 recently when David Garcia pledged to head coach Michael Harding.
