Division I: Putnam 50 Mansfield 48 (OT)An overtime thriller was finally put to bed when Putnam sophomore Ty Nichols knocked down a pair of free-throw with 7.5 seconds left on the clock in the extra period. The annual Hoop Mountain Spring Classic will tip off tonight at Mass Premier Courts in Mansfield, Massachusetts. The event will host a number of still available seniors as well as up and coming underclassmen prospects. Hillhouse and Fairfield Prep will write the fourth chapter of their incredible rivalry in the CIAC Class LL championship game this weekend at Mohegan Sun Arena. The 2012-2013 prep school season may have officially come to an end last week, but Tuesday was still a tremendous day for NEPSAC basketball. Champions were crowned last week beginning on Sunday with Brewster winning Class AAA of the NEPSAC, Cushing Academy winning AA, and Phillips Exeter taking Class A at Endicott College.
