Updated Massachusetts 2027 Rankings (3/26/2026)

Massachusetts is home to the birthplace of basketball, and continues to see a strong influx of talented prospects, both from within the state and across the country.

With that in mind, there are a ton of players who could be considered for these rankings. For this update, we decided to trim it down to 50 names. As we continue to roll these out, there will definitely be more players added, as there are plenty more worthy of recognition.

But for now…

Theo Edema holds down the top spot, a position he’s maintained since the first version of these rankings back in the fall of 2024. The Nigerian big man at Cushing Academy earned Second Team Prep All-American honors this winter, and rightfully so. At 7'0", he’s a coveted prospect who has made major strides over his 2.5 years on the New England scene.

CATS Academy’s Josiah Adamson checks in at No. 2. The Boston native brings strong downhill scoring ability, and when you pair that with his athleticism and an improving outside shot, it’s easy to see why he’s now in the latest 247Sports national rankings. He’s a name to keep a close eye on heading into what could be a big summer.

Western New York’s Nate Blenman lands at No. 3. The 6'9" big offers versatility, whether it’s spacing the floor as a shooter or using his size and footwork inside. His upside has been well documented, and this upcoming grassroots season will be an important one for him.

The fourth and fifth spots are occupied by a pair from Newman School in Preston Bollin and Davon Maloney. Bollin has really elevated his stock this year with his defensive toughness and ability to score at multiple levels. Maloney, meanwhile, worked his way back from an early-season injury and didn't fully crack the rotation for the National Champions but showed plenty of flashes last summer during the scholastic live periods. As for many, the impending grassroots season will be a big one for him to really prove his value.
