The Bay State Magic held a college showcase on Wednesday night, featuring many college prospects from the greater Boston area. In addition to the Bay State Magic program, players from several Boston-based AAU programs were in attendance, including Middlesex Magic, Greater Boston Lions, Metro Boston, Boston Warriors and MYCW. PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Providence College men's basketball coach Keno Davis announced on June 15, 2010 that student-athlete Dre Evans (Dallas, Texas) will attend Providence College beginning in September 2010. Evans, a 5-foot-10-inch, 160-pound guard was a four-year starter and a two-year captain for Head Coach Robert Allen at Carter High School in Dallas. The University of Massachusetts earned a commitment from Hofstra transfer Chaz Williams on Friday afternoon.  Williams had visited the Amherst campus earlier in the week.  A New York native who starred at Bishop Ford High School in Brooklyn prior to arriving at Hofstra, Williams held down the starting point guard position for virtually his entire freshman season with the Pride.  He averaged over 7 points and 4 assists per game while earning All-Rookie honors in the Colonial Athletic Conference.  Williams… READ MORE >
